Weather & H.E.A.R.T Night

//Weather & H.E.A.R.T Night

Happy New Year, Roosevelt Families!
We have found ourselves with quite the winter, full of snow, colder temperatures, and unfortunately, canceled days. We will be making up these missed days. Please watch for updates and communication from Vancouver Public Schools. VPS has already announced January 30th, and June 19th-21st as the days to make up for lost instruction in December. We will share the plan for additional make-up days as they are announced.

I am hoping for a milder forecast for the rest of our winter, so we can get back to the important things – LEARNING! As we come back, our teachers and staff plan to continue moving forward, focused on reading, math, social skills, creative thinking, and exploring! We will be hosting a H.E.A.R.T night for 3rd through 5th grade families on February 9th from 5:30-7:00pm. We will be sharing information and have some make-and-take activities focused on:
Homework
enVisions Math
AVID
Reading
Testing

We hope you will be able to join us!

Kind regards,
Megan Vickery Principal
