Dear Roosevelt Families,

Thank you to those of you who were able join us recently at the Title I Parent Meeting as we updated our annual Parent Participation Plan. Together we discussed concerns and plans for supporting student learning throughout the school year. We also discussed a couple of ways to be involved at Eleanor Roosevelt.

One of the ways to be involved is joining our PTA. There is a small membership fee of $10, which pays for our Regional PTA members and keeps our PTA active. Our PTA supports our school in a variety of ways from volunteering in the office to providing Family Movie Nights to supporting our amazing staff. You will be informed of the many events that you may wish to take part in. Contact our PTA at for more information!

Another way to be involved is to join us for the monthly Coffee with the Principal sessions the first Thursday of every month at 8:45 am in the Roosevelt Cafeteria. After you drop your student off, please join us for a gathering of parents with interpreters present. Each month we will have a different topic. I hope you will be able to join us!

Lastly, I would like to welcome Elizabeth Tiegs as our new FCRC Coordinator! She is excited to join our school community and looks forward to supporting our students and families. You can reach her at or by calling our school office at 360-313-2600.
