Spring always brings a variety of activities for our school calendar. We’d love to see you at any one of these upcoming events. Please consider yourself personally invited!
Wednesday, March 16, 5:00 – 7:00 PM – Eleanor Roosevelt McDonald’s Night (on Andresen) Bring your family by for dinner and who knows what teacher might serve you! A portion of the proceeds will go to our Roosevelt PTA.
Thursday, March 24, 3:00 – 4:00 PM – Review our School-Parent Compact at our PTA meeting The School-Parent Compact is a Title I document which describes the responsibilities of parents, students, and school staff for the purpose of supporting academic achievement for all students. Our school would value your attendance and input during our review process!
Thursday, March 24, 4:00-5:00PM – AVID Night for 4th and 5th Grade Parents & Students Directly following our PTA meeting, our 4th and 5th grade students will lead parents through a 1-hour session on “How to Help With Homework”. Our students will be featured in a video and will even perform an original homework song! Treats will be served and each student will leave with his/her own homework kit. One lucky family will win a $50 Walmart gift certificate!
Saturday, April 30, 9:00 – 1:00 – Make a Difference Day at Roosevelt, Hosted by Comcast Please join us on this day and help us buff up our school! You can choose your project – would you like to be part of the group that paints new games on the playground blacktop? Or maybe you see yourself assisting one of our teachers in reorganizing their classroom library. There will be plenty of jobs for volunteers on this day and Comcast will even provide lunch for all when we finish! Hope to see you there!
