Athletics
Athletics are a fun way for students to learn sportsmanship and get needed exercise. Students can participate in sports at Roosevelt. Sports for 4th and 5th grade girls and boys are:

Boys and Girls Club
The Boys and Girls Club offers after-school and summer programs for school-age students. The O.K. Clubhouse is located at the nearby Jim Parsley Community Center, just a short walk from Roosevelt Elementary School. This serves grades 1-5.
Art Club for 5th Graders
Art Club provides students with an opportunity to explore their creativity, engage in art projects, and collaborate with other students.
Club Details:

Tuesdays for 6 weeks starting October 7 after school until 3:30 pm.

Pick-up: Parents/guardians will need to pick up students at 3:30 pm from Roosevelt Elementary.
Please complete and return a permission slip by September 26, 2025. The first 20 students who return permission slips will fill the 20 available slots.

Student Leadership Team
Roosevelt students in grade 5 can apply for the student leadership team. The team of motivated girls and boys are responsible for daily school announcements and school spirit activities. See Mr. Wiksell, Counselor, with questions by emailing Brendon.Wiksell@vansd.org.
