Welcome to November!

First, I’d like to thank the parents who were able to join us at the end of October to review our Parent Involvement Plan. Please find the updated plan for this year at the end of this newsletter.

I’d like to take a moment to share some work we have been doing to support student attendance at Eleanor Roosevelt. Last month, all of our students took a pledge to be an

Attendance H.E.R.O.Here, Every day, Ready, On time

Our goal is for all of our students to have 90% attendance or better. This takes a lot of effort on everyone’s part. Your support in helping to have your child at school Here, Every day, Ready and On time is greatly appreciated!

Being On time is a key piece of this. The first bell rings at 8:20am. This lets all students know that it is time to line up and be welcomed into class by their teachers. This allows students ten minutes to arrive On time to class before the Tardy Bell rings at 8:30am.

If a student arrives after 8:30am, they will be marked tardy and required to check in at the Tardy Kiosk in the main office. I kindly ask for your support in giving your student(s) enough time to arrive school On time and be an Attendance H.E.R.O.

Sincerely,
Megan Vickery
